When I started my food blog a few years ago, my intent was to keep track of my recipes, a hobby at best. I was having so much fun cooking and sharing, I decided I wanted to take my blog to the next level because I had some really awesome healthy recipes that I wanted to share with the world. There was only one small problem, I had absolutely no strategy. Even worse, I had no idea of where to begin! I started doing some research and information overload soon set in. There was so much to read about and learn, it really became overwhelming 😐
Thankfully, I stumbled on Food Blogger Pro. A website and community forum that is dedicated to teaching bloggers how to start and grow a successful food blog. The community forum is an extremely active group that’s full of industry experts and bloggers that are ready and willing to offer support or answer any question you have. In addition to the community forum, there are over 300 tutorial videos and podcasts which make it super easy to learn at your own pace.
I have learned so much in the short time that I have been a member of this awesome community. I went from taking wimpy photos like this. . .
To ones like this. . .
A little bit of improvement, wouldn’t you say? AND I’m still working on making my pictures even better. By the way, if you want this recipe please come back on Friday for my Greek Pasta Salad — THE perfect salad for the holiday weekend.
In addition to some pretty fantastic food photography tips, there are tutorials that will help you monetize your blog, grow traffic, use plugins, create an E-book to sell online and so much more. Joining food blogger pro was THE BEST thing that I did for my blog. I now have a strategy in place and am seeing my blog grow!
