Green beans are steamed with onions and then tossed in a vinegarette dressing and sprinkled with crispy pieces of bacon.

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the  oven to 375
  2. Line a small baking sheet with parchment and place the bacon on top
  3. C0ok the bacon in  the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until bacon is crisp.
  4. Remove the bacon from the pan and lay on paper towels to drain the oil off. 
  5. Once the bacon is cool enough to handle, crumble it into bits and set aside.
  6. While the bacon is cooking, add the water to the pan, add the green beans and onions.

  7. Cover and cook the beans and onions over medium low heat for approximtely 15 minutes until the beans are crisp tender.

  8. Drain the water from the beans and onions
  9. Mix the dressing ingredients together and pour it over beans.

  10. Sprinkle the beans and onions with bacon crumbles.

Notes

This recipe is an easy recipe to prepare up to 3 days ahead of time, here is how:

Cook the bacon, clean and trim the green beans and store all of the ingredients separately in the refrigerator. 

Just before serving, steam the green beans and onions, mix up the dressing and put it all together.
