  1. Pre-heat oven to 375
  2. clean the mushrooms and break into pieces
  3. place pieces into a food process until crumbly
  4. add oil to a saute pan and heat over medium heat – add the mushrooms, garlic and onion
  5. cook until the onions begin to soften
  6. turn heat to low
  7. place the walnuts into a food processor and process until crumbly
  8. add the walnuts to the pan and combine all ingredients
  9. add the flax egg, herbs, tamari, and nutritional and mix well – let mixture cool
  10. form the mixture into 1/4 inch balls
  11. place on a well oiled pan or parchment paper lined pan
  12. bake for 10 minutes
  13. Make the Sauce (while meatballs are cooking):
  14. add the raspberries to a sauce pan and heat over medium to low heat
  15. stir occasionally – as they heat they will break apart add the syrup and reduce heat to low
  16. once mixture thins to a liquid texture turn heat off
  17. Spoon the sauce over the “meatballs” and reserve sauce for the side
