Ingredients

  • 2 Potatoes Small Russet or Yukon Gold
  • 2 teaspoons Olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning blend or garlic powder plus 1 teapoon salt
  • Parsley or fresh herbs optional for garnish

Instructions

  • Rinse and dry the potatoes. Use a sharp knife to cut the potatoes into 8 wedges
  • Place the wedges into a large mixing bowl and cover them with cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes.
  • Drain the water from the potatoes, dry out the mixing bowl and arrange the potato wedges in a single layer on paper towels and flip them around to dry them off.
  • Once the potatoes are dry, return them to the mixing bowl; add the oil and seasoning and mix well so that the potato wedges are covered in oil and seasoning.
  • Arrange the potatoes in an air fryer basket or tray and place them into a preheated air fryer at 415 degrees. Air fry for 12 minutes, flip the wedges over and cook until they are golden brown and crispy, about 8 to 10 minutes longer.

Notes

Actual cooking time can vary depending on your air fryer and the thickness of the fries.
If you are making air fryer steak fries in batches, keep the first batch warm on a baking sheet in a 300-degree oven.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days. Reheat in an air-fryer at 350 degrees, on top of the stove or in the oven.
