Having the right tools in your kitchen can keep cooking fun and most importantly easy! Depending on your cooking style and how many you are feeding, you might only need a few of these essentials.

Cookware

Having good quality and sturdy cookware makes all of the difference in the kitchen. For me, cast iron is a top pick. My cast iron skillets and combo cooker handle everything from eggs, to beef stew. When I need something lighter, my stainless steel pots and pans come in handy.

Small Kitchen Appliances

There are a ton of small kitchen appliances that can simplify cooking, and these are my top picks. A food processor saves time by chopping and slicing foods easily, and a pressure cooker cooks soups and stews fast. Don’t forget the air fryer – it lets you enjoy the taste of fried food without frying it. A bread machine proofs bread perfectly every time!

Food Storage

Reusable food storage containers are essential for keeping leftovers fresh and tasty. When I know I am going to have leftovers, I serve my food in Pyrex bowls. After dinner, I pop the cover on the leftovers and there’s one less dish to clean. The veggie holders are my new favorite, they cling to the food, and are perfect for storing avocados, tomatoes, and onions.

Handy Kitchen Tools

Cooking at home can be rewarding and is more economical, but having the right tools makes cooking even easier and more enjoyable. These handy tools are used often when I cook. A good set of knives is a must have and I can’t live without my digital thermometer and kitchen scale.
