Easy slow cooker Asian pork is made with tender pork that is marinatedin an Asian inspired marinade and then cooked in the slow cooker for several hours.
Combine the tamari sauce, rice wine vinegar, tomato paste, garlic, ginger, syrup and sesame oil in a glass or ceramic bowl.
Add the pork to the bowl and toss making sure all sides are covered with the marinade. Place the bowl in the refrigerator and marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight
Remove the meat from the bowl and add it to the slow cooker; pour the marinade over the top.
Cover the slow cooker and cook the pork in the marinade on low for 5 hours.
Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
Add the meat back to the slow cooker and toss it in the sauce and serve.
Notes
Serve slow-cooked Asian pork sprinkled with sesame seeds and green onions with a side of stir-fried vegetables and rice.Spice it up and add a teaspoon or two of red pepper flakes just before serving.Replace the pork with boneless chicken breasts and thighs. Reduce cooking time to 3 hours.
