Ingredients

  • 2 apples cored and diced (peeling is optional)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup divided
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1/8 cup walnuts chopped
  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/2 cup oats Old Fashioned Rolled

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350.
  • In a bowl, mix 2 apples (diced), 1 tablespoon maple syrup, 1 teaspoon cinnamon,
  • Divide the apple mixture evenly between two 6-ounce ramekins.
  • In a separate bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, oats, walnuts, melted butter and if desire brown sugar, flour and nutmeg. Stir in the remaining tblespoon of maple syrup.
  • Spoon the topping over the apples and gently press down.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until the topping is golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

TIPS
  • squeeze a little bit of lemon juice into the apple filling mixture for  touch of fresh flavor.
  • allow the mini apple crisps to rest for a few minutes before serving which will help the flavors blend together
  • Slice your apples uniformly to ensure even cooking of the apples
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat in a microwave or oven.
