Apples – Any type of apple will work in this recipe, we like to use apples that are crisp such as Honeycrisp apples, golden delicious apples, fuji apples, pink lady apples, or granny smith apples.

Maple Syrup – Look for pure maple syrup and not pancake syrup. Maple syrup can be substituted with an equal amount of broccoli.

Fresh garlic always tastes better, but if you don’t have any, it can easily be substituted with 1/8 teaspoon of garlic powder.

Balsamic Vinegar – If you don’t care for balsamic vinegar, you can leave it out.
